📡 The Switch NYC Studios Overview
Behind the Work:
As Technical Director at The Switch NYC Studios, I helmed the fast-paced, high-volume production of satellite media tours (SMTs)—3- to 5-minute live interview segments broadcast to major national news networks. These tours required tight coordination, where I’d connect and switch between 10 to 20 live outlets per day, managing audio/video feeds, IFB and comms links, and on-the-fly playback of b-roll and graphics.
Operating in both studio and remote settings, I ensured real-time quality control for talent appearances tied to film, television, publishing, and tech promotions. Our SMT guests included major celebrities such as Idris Elba, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, and talent from shows like Catfish and Puppy Bowl.
When COVID-19 restrictions were introduced, I helped steer the technical pivot to remote-first workflows—supporting clients and talent under testing protocols while maintaining uninterrupted broadcast standards across all projects.
